Shengda Qi

Ph.D., Associate Professor


Shengda Qi received a B.S. degree from Hebei Normal University in 2001. He then joined Prof. Xingguo Chen’s group at the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Lanzhou University as a graduate student and performed research in the field of Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) and fluoresence analysis. He got his Ph.D. degree in the year of 2006. He thereafter went to Hong Kong Baptist University as a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Zhaoxiang Bian’ group, developing novel CE methods for the analysis of serotonin. He transferred to Iowa State University in 2010 as a visiting scholar and worked on fluorescent spectroscopy analysis single molecule under the guidance of Prof. Edward S. Yeung. The main topics were focused on the single protein molecule transport inside nanotubes. In May, 2009, He became an associate professor of chemistry at Lanzhou University. His current research interests include capillary electrophoresis and fluoresence gold nanoclusters.
