Yu Tang
Ph.D., Professor
Introduction
Yu Tang received a B.S. degree from Lanzhou University in 1993. She then joined Prof. Xinmin Gan’s group at the Department of Chemistry, Lanzhou University as a graduate student and performed research in the field of rare-earth functional complexes. She got her M.S. degree in the year of 1996. She was thereafter recommended to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Prof. Minyu Tan’s group at College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University, developing novel rare-earth functional complexes. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in June, 1999 and became a lecturer of chemistry at Lanzhou University in July. She was promoted to an associate professor in 2001 and a full professorship in 2007. Now she is Changjiang Scholar distinguished professor at Lanzhou University. She has received the Young Teacher Award of Fok Yingdong, Excellent Teacher Award of Bao Gang and Higher Education Teacher Award of Gansu Province. Her research fields include the synthesis and functional regulation of novel rare-earth complexes and their smart devices for luminescent probes, tumor markers/treatment, optical anti-counterfeiting, catalysis, and solar cells.
