Xiaoliang Tang

Ph.D., Professor

Introduction

Xiaoliang Tang was born in Gansu Province in 1982. He received a B.S. degree from Lanzhou University in 2004, and then joined Prof. Weisheng Liu’s group at Lanzhou University as a graduate student to perform research in the field of luminescent lanthanide complexes. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in the year of 2009, and began working in Lanzhou University as lecturer in 2009, associate professor in 2012 and professor in 2018. In 2017, he went to Prof. Banglin Chen’s lab in the University of Texas at San Antonio to study and develop the gas selective separations based on novel phosphorescent metal organic frameworks (PMOFs). His current researches focus on two aspects: (1) The phosphorescent recognition of polynuclear lanthanide complexes or chiral lanthanide complexes. (2) The structural design and functional application of phosphorescent chemosensors or PMOFs.
