Weifeng Bu

Professor

Introduction

Weifeng Bu received a B.S. degree from Jilin University in 1999. He then joined Prof. Lixin Wu’s group at the same University as a graduate student and performed research in the field of Supramolecular Self-Assembly, Polyoxometalate Chemistry, and Photophysics. He got his Ph.D. degree in 2004. As a postdoctoral fellow, he thereafter went to The University of Hong Kong with Prof. Vivian Wing-Wah Yam for developing luminescence metal complexes (2005) and National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan with Prof. Izumi Ichinose (2006, 2007) for fabricating ionic liquid based foam films. Then, he transferred to The University of Tokyo as a JSPS fellow and worked on synthesis and functions of polymer-polyoxometalate composites with Prof. Noritaka Mizuno (2008, 2009). In February 2009, he joined School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University as a full professor. His current research interests include synthesis, self-assembly, and functions of polymer-inorganics composites.
