Zhixiang Xie

Professor

Introduction

Zhixiang Xie received his BS (1996) in chemical engineering at Guangxi University, and MS (1999) and PhD (2002) in organic chemistry at Lanzhou University (P. R. China). He worked as a postdoctoral fellow (2002-2004) at Peking University working with Professor Zhen Yang. He obtained an associate professor position at Lanzhou University in 2004. In 2010, He was promoted to full professor. He worked with Professor Barry M. Trost as a senior visiting fellow (2012-2013) at Stanford University. His current research interests include: (1) Total Synthesis of Anti-HIV Bioactive Natural Products; (2) Biomimetic Synthesis of Natural Product and Synthetic Methodological Research; (3) Improvement on the Synthesis of Pharmaceuticals.
