Xiangfeng Shao


Xiangfeng Shao received the B.S. and M.S. degrees (majored in organic chemistry) from Lanzhou University in the years of 1998 and 2001, respectively. He then joined Prof. Daoben Zhu’s group at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a Ph. D. candidate and performed research in the field of organic functional materials. He got the Ph. D. in the year of 2004, and thereafter worked as a post-doc in Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Kyoto University, and Osaka Prefecture University until 2009. During this period, he mainly focused on the field-induced phase transitions of organic conductors and exploration of magnetic organic conductors. In October 2009, he became a professor of chemistry at Lanzhou University. His current research includes the design, synthesis, chemical reactivity, optoelectronic property, and self-assembly of non-conventional π-conjugated systems. He received the Excellent Youth Fund from NSFC in 2015 and appointed as the vice-director of SKLAOC in 2018.
