Introduction

Quan-Xiang Wu received a B.S. degree from Material Department of Lanzhou University in 1999. She then joined Prof. Ying Zhu’s group at Chemistry Department of Lanzhou University as a graduate student and performed research in the field of natural products from Chinese herbal medicines. She got her M.S. degree in the year of 2002. She thereafter went to Li Yang’s group at Chemistry Department of Lanzhou University and Yanping Shi’s group at Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences to pursue a Ph.D. degree in 2002. The main topics were focused on the isolation and analysis of natural products from medicinal plants. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in June, 2005 and became a lecturer at Lanzhou University in July. In 2009, She transferred to University of California Santa Cruz and worked as a visiting scholar on natural products from marine fungi. Then, in June, 2010, she went back State Key Laboratory of Applied Organic Chemistry, Lanzhou University. She was promoted to a full professorship in 2016. Her current research interests are the isolation and analysis of natural products from medicinal plants and fungi.
