Sharing Experience, Shared Benefits. To Jointly Construct First-class Disciplines. -- The College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the College of Atmospheric Sciences Exchanged Their Experience of Work.
On the morning of May 21st, 2020, in order to formulate a scientific and reasonable “14th five-year plan” and promote the construction of first-class disciplines, the party and administration leaders and related staff of the College of Atmospheric Sciences went to the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering for work experience exchanges. The symposium, with the participation of allleaders of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, was presided over by Zhang Haibo, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Liang Yongmin, dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, introduced the overall situation of the College and, byreferring to the opportunities and challenges faced in the construction of "double first-class", shared his own thoughts on strategic issues such as “the 14th five-year plan”, talent team construction, discipline construction target and talent cultivation quality of the College.Zhang Haixia, Tang Yu and Li Bin, deputy deans of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, shared their experiences and practices on organized scientific research and incentive mechanism, graduate student enrollment and ordered talent training, paid use reform of public housing and construction of security system.
Tian Wenshou, dean of the College of Atmospheric Sciences, said that as both the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the College of Atmospheric Sciences had first-class disciplines, during this critical period for development, ways to mobilize the enthusiasm of all staff through distributing resources, strike imbalance among the development stage of all disciplines, make overall long-term teaching staff team planning and improve the administrative efficiency, etc., would directly affect the development of our Colleges and first-class disciplines. Since in these aspects, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering had adopted relatively mature and effective measures in the above aspects, the College of Atmospheric Sciences came to learn excellent experience and working methods, so as to further promote the development of the College.
Jia Jing, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, introduced the basic situation of the party building of the College, on behalf of the Party Committee of the College, and shared with all the audience the establishment of the National Model Party Branch of the Teaching and Administrative Staff of the Department of Organic Chemistry, including the "1234" working concepts of the party branch construction, the Teaching-Learning and the education of Party members, as well as the exploration of the "branch + branch" mode. Since the College is a second-batch “three-all educating”, namely all-members involved educating, all-the-whole process educating and all-round educating, pilot unit for comprehensive reformof the Ministry of Education, she also introduced some practices done by the College in the implementation of the "three-all educating" process of pooling the strength to educate and identifying distinctive features of education.
Later, all participants freely changed their ideas with enthusiasm.
Wang Weiguo, party secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Atmospheric Sciences, recognized the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineeringfor the experience sharing. And he believed that the College of Atmospheric Sciences could learn a lot from good methods and experiences of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in party building, talent team planning, resource allocation, discipline development and talent training. It was also hoped that both Colleges would strengthen all-round and multi-angle exchanges and cooperation in the future to learn from and promote each other and make common progress.
Zhang Haibo pointed out that although there were some differences between disciplines of chemistry and atmosphere, they were both “first-class” disciplines in the critical moment of development, facing great opportunities and challenges.The two Colleges’Party Committees should dare to shoulder responsibility, perform real deeds, actively push forward the in-depth coordination of party building and important work, and, by taking advantage of this exchange, set up a normalized, long-term and in-depth communication mechanism, to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation on party building, first-class discipline construction, scientific research team building and equipment sharing platform, strive to achieve win-win development and promote the construction of “double first-class” university.
