Use Innovative Thinking to Light Scientific Research Dreams ——The 7th Science and Technology Innovation Activity Seminar for College Students Majoring in Chemistry (or related major) of Lanzhou University

On December 5th, the 7th Science and Technology Innovation Activity Seminar for College Students Majoring in Chemistry (or related major) of Lanzhou University was successfully held on Chengguan Campus. Professor Jing Huanwang, Professor Liu Peng, Professor Chen Hongli, Associate Professor Liu Xiang, Associate Professor Niu Fang, and Associate Professor Liang Yongqi from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University attended the Seminar as judges.

A total of 91 innovation and entrepreneurship projects participated in this seminar (including 16 national-level innovation and entrepreneurship projects and 75 school-level innovation and entrepreneurship projects). The students made their own project results into a poster, which was scrolled on the big screen.

Several teachers as judges in the meeting room made professional comments on the students’ projects in terms of layout design, logical thinking, workload, innovation points, etc. and gave suggestions for improvement. In the end, 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 9 third prizes for "My Favorite Science and Technology Project" were selected; 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 9 third prizes for "My Favorite Poster Project" were selected.

The seminar was wonderful. There are countless highlights in the poster design of the students, and innovative topics emerge endlessly. The novel and unique research methods impressed the teachers, and the serious and rigorous data processing won the teachers' praise. The teachers also pointed out the shortcomings at the same time and gave suggestions for improvement, and then put forward the following expectations to the students, taking this innovation and entrepreneurship experience as an outset, applying the experience to future learning, practice and scientific research, and striving to become the high-level innovative talents required for the construction of an innovative country.
