In order to form a school-college-applicant three-level linkage mechanism, adhere to full coverage, precise policy implementation, and classified guidance, and continue to improve the quality of applications, thereby increasing the funding rate, and promoting the steady development of scientific research capabilities of our institute, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering held the first National Natural Science Foundation Application Writing Training Conference on November 19th. Professor Wang Wei, director of the National Key Laboratory of Functional Organic Molecular Chemistry, gave a training report. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Xi Pinxian. Dean Wang Chaoping of the Research Institute and Teacher Shi Nan attended the meeting. The college's staff mainly engaged in scientific research and teachers and students interested in this topic participated in the training.

  At the meeting, Teacher Wang Wei focused on seizing opportunities, reaching standards, and establishing logic, Starting from common misunderstandings, thesis structure, project basis and research content, research foundation and working conditions,using various examples of daily life, Emphasizing on the premise of seeking external support, focusing on the background of the era, and establishing the personal research mission on the front end of the trend of national prosperity, teaching and educating, and the development of human civilization. Starting from protecting our own competitiveness, upholding high scientific standards and high cognition requirements, Focus on stability and long-term development as the core content, multi-dimensional control the selection of themes, Capturing characteristic innovation points, while optimizing the structure to make the hierarchy clear, tangible, and echoing before and after. Teacher Wang Wei proposed that logic is the most important guiding ideology and seriousness is the most important magic weapon for success and advocated that everyone adhere to the system concept of "keeping integrity and innovation, harmony with difference", and form a dynamic cognition of "why only I can do it", so as to cope with ever-changing changes. In order to accurately solve the confusion of teachers, a number of topics of concern to scientific researchers have been collected before the opening of the training session. At the meeting, teacher Wang Wei answered the questions that have been collected one by one, and hoped that he would learn about the problems that the researchers wanted to solve urgently through various channels and provide corresponding help after the meeting.

Finally, teacher Wang Chaoping from the school’s research institute summarized the meeting. Teacher Wang Chaoping affirmed the active organization of the college and advocated learning from Teacher Wang Wei’s serious attitude, and said that from the basic situation of the college, the National Natural Science Foundation of China has a lot of room for application and development. He placed hope on the scientific research workers of the college and hoped that under the effect of this training meeting, the hard work of the scientific researchers can be responded to.
