On January 14, 2022, the fifth meeting of the first teaching steering committee of the National Chemistry Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center (Lanzhou University) and the National Chemistry Innovation Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center (Lanzhou University) was held in No. 2 Chemistry Building 201. The meeting is conducted online and offline. Professor Zhang Jianrong of Nanjing University, Chairman of the Teaching Steering Committee, Professor Meng Changgong, President of Dalian University, Professor Chen Liuping of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Li Yijun of Nankai University, Professor Liang Yongmin, Dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Shen Yongwen, Director of the Experimental Center, Senior Experimenter, Laboratory and Equipment Management Office Professor Wang Qiang attended the meeting. Vice Dean Professor Hui Xinping and all the teachers of the Demonstration Center attended the meeting. 

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Professor Hui Xinping. Prof. Wang Qiang, Director of Laboratory and Equipment Management Department of Lanzhou University, and Prof. Liang Yongmin, Dean of Lanzhou University delivered speeches respectively. They expressed their warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the experts for their guidance, and hoped that the experts would give more valuable opinions to better promote the construction and development of the experimental center. developing.

The report and deliberation of the meeting was presided over by Zhang Jianrong. Shen Yongwen, director of the Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, gave a detailed report on the main work in 2021 and the work plan in 2022 of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Chemistry and the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Chemistry Innovation from the aspects of experimental teaching, talent training effectiveness, teaching reform and scientific research, talent team, informatization construction, and demonstration radiation. Afterwards, Associate Professor Liu Xingyu, the lecturer of the experimental center, gave a special report on the construction of the "Basic Polymer Experiment" course. Finally, the members of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Demonstration Center reviewed the work reports of the two Demonstration Centers in 2021, fully affirmed the work of the Demonstration Center in 2021, and put forward valuable suggestions on the construction of experimental courses, the reform of experimental teaching, and team building of experimental technicians.

The convening of this meeting has played a positive role in improving the construction level of the two national experimental teaching demonstration centers, and is of great significance to deepening the reform of undergraduate experimental teaching in the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, improving the quality of chemistry talent training, and helping the construction of first-class disciplines in chemistry.
