In order to implement the "Strengthening Science and Technology" action, promote the integration of government, industry, academia, and research, and promote the in-depth development of school-enterprise cooperation, on May 20, Liang Yongmin, Dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Wang Wei, Director of the National Key Laboratory of Functional Organic Molecular Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering Jia Jing, deputy secretary of the party committee of the college, and his party went to Lanzhou New District to carry out school-enterprise cooperation and docking activities. Director Yang Tianyue and Deputy Director Wang Yiqiang of Lanzhou New Area Science and Technology Development Bureau met with the delegation of the College of Chemistry and organized a matchmaking meeting. The meeting was presided over by Yang Tianyue, director of Lanzhou New Area Science and Technology Development Bureau.

At the matchmaking meeting, Yang Tianyue introduced the economic and social development, technological innovation, industry-university-research cooperation and other relevant situations of the new district. Zhou Peng, head of the Chemical Park Management Office, introduced the construction of the Chemical Park in Lanzhou New District. 

Liang Yongmin expressed the hope that through the integration of government, industry, academia, research and application, the resource advantages of both sides will be brought into play, so as to solve the problems of enterprises and promote the transformation of advanced achievements, further to help the high-quality economic development of the new area, and at the same time to implement the national "visiting enterprises and expanding jobs" action, and encourage more chemistry students to take root and develop in Lanzhou New District.

Wang Wei hoped that the two sides can further cooperate and exchange in institutional construction and application transformation. Jia Jing expects the two sides to carry out multi-dimensional cooperation in the improvement of students' practical ability and the establishment of employment platforms. At the meeting, 26 faculty representatives from the college introduced their professional expertise and research directions in turn. Afterwards, 30 participating companies introduced their respective technological innovations and technological innovation needs. The two sides of the school and enterprise conducted in-depth and enthusiastic discussions on issues such as talent training, scientific research cooperation, and the integration of production, education and research.

After the meeting, part of the teachers went to the intended enterprises to conduct on-the-spot inspections to investigate technical needs and prepare for the next step of substantive scientific research cooperation.
