In order to welcome the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Party Day activity on the theme of "learninghistory and practicing with interdiscipline" was held in Room 315 of the Medical Experimental Teaching Building in the Medical Campus of Lanzhou University on the afternoon of April 8. The activity was organized by the Analytical Chemistry Branch of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the Party Branch of Human Anatomy, Histology and Surgery of the Basic Medical College, and the Branch of the Medical Experimental Center. All party members of each branch participated in the seminar, which was hosted by Professor Wang Degui, Secretary of the Branch of Human Anatomy, Histology and Surgery.

Liu Xiangwen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of Human Anatomy, Histologyand Surgery, took the "August 1" Nanchang uprising as the main content of the party lesson of "Learning Party History and UndertakingPractical Work". Through detailed carding and vivid explanation,he led the participates to review the arduous struggle history, which made them firmly remember their original intention and mission, and show deep respect for the revolutionary predecessors at the same time. By doing this, participants are firmly determined to overcome difficulties and take responsibility in a down-to-earth manner.

During the activity, Professor Wang Baodui of Institute of Coordination Chemistry and Functional Materials, Professor Zhang Haixia of Analytical Chemistry, Professor Ye Weichun, Professor Liu Bowen of Institute of Life Analytical Chemistry and Atomic Molecular Engineering, Associate Professor Zhang Huige, Associate Professor Li Shuyan, young researcher Zhang Yuewen (online), Professor Wang Degui and Professor Jing Yuhong, Institute of Human Anatomy and Histology, Associate Professor Shao Yufeng and others respectively expressed their views and introduced the scientific research work of their own research group, ranging from the development of Nanomaterials, Bio-markers, Biological Detection Technology, Microfluidic Control, Computer-aided Medical Diagnosis System in Nervous System Diseases, tumor, COVID-19 diagnosis and prevention and so on. Teachers of the Basic Medicine College marvel at the charm of new materials and methods in chemistry. And teachers from Analytical Chemistry feel the potential of the promising future of medicine, and show great interest in it.

Through this exchange, both sides have improved their ideological understanding and strengthened their ideals and beliefs. Meanwhile, the two colleges have built a platform and channels for teachers to learn from each other across disciplines. And teachers agreed that medicine will has a promising future with the development and application of chemistry, and chemistry will become an important support for the development of medicine. With chemistry as the means and medicine as the purpose, problems encountered in the cross integration of the two will be found, and methods to promote the cross integration of disciplines can be provided, so as to establish a cross integration system in which the both sides can grow and develop harmoniously. The exchange activities ended in a warm atmosphere, and an appointment was made for further cooperation.
