In order to build a platform for exchanges among students from different universities, to enhance the understanding of other college students about the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University, to publicize the postgraduate enrollment policy of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University, and to attract more outstanding students to Lanzhou University for further study,the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University, in conjunction with the State Key Laboratory of Functional Organic Molecular Chemistry, held the 2021 National Chemistry Summer Camp for Outstanding College Students from July 16 to 19, 2021.

The entire summer camp is an offline activity.29 students from more than 18 universities including Xinjiang University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Northwest University, Southwest University, Ningxia University participated in this activity.

On the morning of July 16, the opening ceremony was held in the 101 Academic Lecture Hall of the Second Chemistry Building.Professor Tang Yu, deputy dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Changjiang Scholar, doctoral supervisor, Professor Shao Xiangfeng, deputy director of the National Center for Heavy Industry, doctoral supervisor, and othersattended the opening ceremony.The opening ceremony was presided over by Jia Jing, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Collegeof Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Lanzhou University.

Professor Tang Yu introduced the development and the characteristicsof the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering through the development of the College, the effectiveness of talent training, the advantages of discipline development, and the composition of the faculty.Professor Shao Xiangfeng introduced the basic situation of the State Key Laboratory of Functional Organic Molecular Chemistry.Afterwards, the campers visited the nuclear magnetic hall and various equipment platforms of the analysis and testing center.

In the three-day event, the campers interacted with each other through visits to laboratories, introduction to secondary disciplines, meeting with mentors, listening to academic reports, and participating in interviews，theyfelt the excellent historical heritage, strong academic atmosphere, rigorous scientific research style, and strong school-running strength of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University.At the same time, it has enhanced students' understanding of subjects and mentors, strengthened the reserve of professional knowledge, and opened up innovative ideas for scientific research.

The successful holding of this summer camp activity promoted our college’s enrollment policy, attracted a large number of outstanding students to study in Lanzhou, and provided assistance for the construction of Lanzhou University's double first-class construction and the follow-up development of the college.We firmly believe that with the joint efforts of the teachers and students of the whole college, the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University will carry forward the past and create greater glories!
